I am a domestic violence survivor that fought for my life in 2007. Having experienced multiple hospital visits, abuse and financial destruction provides me the ability to motivate victims as well as, their families, to heal and live well again. I am victim with the experience of providing testimony and facing the abuser in Court. I have full knowledge of how traumatic and difficult it can be. My professional background is in the Insurance Industry; however, I was forced to re-invent my life after the abuse and injuries suffered.
I am a self taught Artist and Owner of Inspired Designs, serving the Greater Los Angeles Area. I love to draw, paint, make custom jewelry and create natural candle holders. With a love of photography and a passion for cooking I found that creating helped me recover. Art can be found in many things, created in many ways. I enjoy them all. I have a second chance, being a survivor I have tapped back into the gifts given to me. I look forward to sharing them with you.
I am writing a book on surviving domestic violence and healing the wounds, no matter how deep. I have had the opportunity to share my story, being interviewed in a few film productions.
My goal is to educate, inspire and share detailed information, to help those struggling with this issue. There are many people affected by it, not only the victim. I am providing a victims perspective to help family, friends, co-workers and law enforcement with the truth of domestic violence. It is important to look for the “signs” of domestic violence, they can be seen, the elephant in the room. It is important to help those, unsure of how to approach the issue with a victim when they may see the signs, it can save a life.
